Mountain Village Activities

The Uncompahgre Forest surrounds Mountain Village and in winter, it’s a true wonderland. Conifers and bare-limbed aspens glow with fresh snow. The ground is a blanket of pure white, broken only by the occasional footprints of a scurrying critter. The mountains and crisp air echo silence. On the outskirts, one might forget a community exists at all but at the center, the Village Core is bustling. As the heart of Mountain Village, the Village Core is strewn with lights and a festive vibe all winter long. It is the energetic hub amid serene alpine woods, beating to a pulse that bursts with recreation, shopping and pampering opportunities.
Telluride tells a tale of two towns: Telluride and Mountain Village. Often using the names interchangeably, Mountain Village loses some of its distinctive edge—an edge that resides at 9,545 feet above sea level. Part of Mountain Village’s graceful persona is found in the plethora of activities it offers.
